What is sleep apnea?
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) occurs when a person takes breathing breaks in their sleep. These respiratory interruptions can put your life at risk, and yet 90% of people with sleep apnea are not aware of it.
TAKE THE TEST !
The NoSAS test (No Sleep Apnea Syndrome) helps to quickly detect people at risk of suffering from sleep apnea.
Each risk factor for the syndrome corresponds to a certain number of points. Refer to the table opposite and add up the points that apply to your risk factors. A score of 8 points or more suggests the presence of sleep apnea. If you score 8 points or more, talk to your doctor.
Example:
If you are a man (2 pts), you snore (2 pts), your BMI* is 31 kg/m² (5 pts), and you have none of the other risk factors listed in the table, your total score would be 9 points.
* Body Mass Index (BMI) = kg/m². To calculate your BMI, divide your weight (in kilograms) by your height (in meters) squared.
